Our Courses

Film Making

Filmmaking (or in an academic context, film production) is the process of making a film. At CBFA, you will be taught the practicalities from development to pre-production, production, post production and distribution state, where the finished film is distributed and screened in cinemas and released to home video.

Screen Writing

Screenwriting is a course designed to focus on the essentials of story writing for the screen or theatre.  At CBFA, we teach students content and structure of story writing with topics such as character and characterization, conflict, theme, premise and many others. Students also study the basics of screenplay and formatting, etc.

Acting for Film

Students in the Acting for Film course are taught the elements of drama, basic acting and concentrating exercise, creativity and emotional response, etc. We teach students what it takes to effectively interpret a script and bring the character to life after which they are given acting roles in Nollywood movies.


Students who enroll for this course at CBFA are given hands-on directorial skills and knowledge. They are given the opportunity to watch industry experts and role models direct movies, after which they are also given the opportunity to direct their own short films.


CBFA offers students with little or no experience in producing, the opportunity to become First Class producers via this course.
